An abandoned house

Dip your toes
In the pool of careless wonder
Catch dew drops
On your fingertips alive
Open your ears to
Echoes in the silent song
That the dawn plays
So does the deafening storm
Place your hand on your heart
and hear it roar.
Together, you and I head for the open door
That leads into a dingy hall
And a grimy little wall
Walking, climbing, here we are
on the rooftop
Sitting on the very edge we let our feet dangle
Into a fall of freedom and
We raise our heads and wait for the morn
while tracing clouds into the empty sky
We can breathe contentment on the canopy of this abandoned house,
You and I.
